MiQ acquires Rocket Lab for AI app growth push

MiQ strengthens its AI-driven omnichannel offering by acquiring Rocket Lab, expanding mobile in-app growth capabilities across global and emerging markets.

MiQ has announced the acquisition of Rocket Lab, a move aimed at accelerating its AI-powered mobile in-app growth capabilities and strengthening its global expansion strategy across high-growth markets.

The deal integrates Rocket Lab’s app growth expertise with MiQ’s omnichannel advertising ecosystem, creating a unified solution for brands seeking end-to-end performance marketing across media channels. The acquisition is positioned as a step towards strengthening MiQ’s mobile-first offering in an increasingly app-driven digital landscape.

A key element of the integration is the enhancement of MiQ’s AI-powered operating system, Sigma, which processes large-scale data signals to deliver more precise audience targeting. Rocket Lab’s mobile and regional data capabilities will be incorporated into MiQ’s existing ecosystem of over 700 trillion signals, enabling more refined, performance-led advertising strategies.

The acquisition follows MiQ’s recent purchase of Adsmovil, further strengthening its presence in Latin America and reinforcing its position as an independent global programmatic player. Together, these acquisitions reflect a broader strategy to expand in mobile-first and high-growth regions, particularly across Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

Rocket Lab brings strong operational expertise across Latin American markets including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Uruguay, with a focus on user acquisition and app engagement at scale. By combining this regional depth with MiQ’s global platform, the partnership aims to offer advertisers a more integrated and measurable approach to app growth and performance marketing.

As part of the arrangement, Rocket Lab will continue to operate as an independent business unit within MiQ. The leadership structure remains unchanged, with Juan Echavarria Coll continuing as chief executive officer, ensuring continuity for clients, partners and employees while enabling operational alignment with MiQ’s broader ecosystem.

Gurman Hundal, co-founder and global chief executive officer, said, “This acquisition is a strategic step forward in our commitment to helping clients accelerate customer acquisition through smarter, data-driven marketing. By giving global brands and agencies access to our first mobile-app offering through Rocket Lab's AI capabilities, we'll deliver better performance that will continue to strengthen over time. With Rocket Lab’s expertise, we can offer even more tailored solutions that drive real business outcomes, ensuring our clients stay ahead in an increasingly mobile and connected world. We will use Rocket Lab's rich data and capabilities to unlock powerful new insights especially for those looking to grow in dynamic markets across Latin America and Asia.”

Rocket Lab’s founder and CEO, Juan Echavarria Coll, said, “Combining our mobile strategy with MiQ’s AI-powered technology reinforces our positioning as an App Growth Hub, bringing unparalleled strength to our multisolutions ecosystem and accelerating how brands scale their apps globally.”

MiQ’s broader positioning centres on its AI-driven trading and audience intelligence capabilities, with its platform designed to unify data signals across browsing, viewing and purchase behaviour. The acquisition of Rocket Lab further extends this proposition into mobile-first performance marketing, reflecting the growing importance of app ecosystems in global advertising strategies.
