Arpit Garg has been appointed president, Weber Shandwick India, and head of Weber Advisory India at The Weber Shandwick Collective, effective January 2026. He will be based in Mumbai and will be responsible for leading the firm’s India operations alongside its advisory practice.
In his new role, Garg will oversee strategic direction, client engagement and growth across Weber Shandwick’s integrated communications offering in India. His mandate includes strengthening the firm’s advisory capabilities while driving alignment across corporate reputation, public affairs, brand communications and integrated media strategies.
Garg joins Weber Shandwick from Adfactors PR, where he served as senior vice president and co-led the Strategic Communications Group. During his tenure, he worked closely with leadership teams on high-stakes reputation management and advisory mandates. His portfolio at Adfactors PR spanned sectors including telecom, technology, e-commerce, infrastructure, and media and entertainment. He also played a role in expanding client relationships and contributing to the overall growth of the strategic communications practice.
Before joining Adfactors PR, Garg held senior leadership roles at Genesis BCW. There, he led corporate and financial communications assignments across multiple markets, working with clients on stakeholder engagement, crisis communications, mergers and acquisitions, and long-term reputation building. His experience at Genesis BCW involved managing complex mandates that required coordination across geographies and disciplines.
Earlier in his career, Garg was associated with Siemens Ltd., where he served as south asia cluster communication lead for energy. In this role, he handled communications across a large and diverse regional footprint, supporting business priorities within the energy sector. His time at Siemens provided him with experience on the client side, offering exposure to internal communications, policy engagement and large-scale corporate messaging.
With over two decades of experience in strategic communications, Garg brings a background that combines agency leadership with in-house corporate communications. At Weber Shandwick, he will be expected to further develop the firm’s advisory-led approach, helping clients navigate complex business, regulatory and reputation environments.
The appointment comes at a time when communications firms are increasingly focusing on integrated advisory services, as clients seek partners who can provide counsel beyond traditional media relations. Garg’s experience across reputation management, corporate strategy and sector-specific advisory is expected to support Weber Shandwick India’s positioning within this evolving landscape.
As head of Weber Advisory India, Garg will also focus on expanding the firm’s advisory offerings, including issues management, leadership communications and stakeholder engagement. His role will involve close collaboration with teams across The Weber Shandwick Collective to deliver connected solutions across earned, owned and shared channels.
Garg’s appointment underscores Weber Shandwick’s emphasis on strengthening leadership in India, one of its key markets in the Asia Pacific region. By bringing in a leader with deep experience across sectors and communications disciplines, the firm aims to build on its existing capabilities while responding to growing client demand for strategic counsel.
With Garg at the helm, Weber Shandwick India is expected to continue evolving its integrated communications and advisory practice, aligning global expertise with local market insight.
