Starting today, Campaign India, in association with Red FM, brings you 'Private View' on the latest radio commercials. This week, we get the opinions of Josy Paul, chairman and chief creative officer of BBDO/Proximity India, and Rajeev Raja, national creative director, DDB Mudra, on six of them. To begin with, we will carry this feature twice a month. Here's requesting producers, creative directors and clients to send in radio commercials for review to email@example.com. And if you want to review the commercials, contact Radhika as well. Bouquets and brickbats? Radhika, again!
WPP has announced that it is creating a dedicated Integrated Marketing Communications unit for Colgate-Palmolive in India. The new initiative is said to be "in response to changing market needs". The new group will be named Team Colgate and will report directly to Y&R international management. It will be housed at Bates India and will develop integrated advertising, shopper marketing and digital programs.
The Colgate business will soon move out of Rediffusion Y&R, a development that is confirmed by Mahesh Chauhan, group chief executive officer of the agency. It is not yet known where the business is likely to move. Campaign India has contacted WPP for further information. Updates to follow.
Rediffusion Y&R is in the process of shifting offices and the agency used the opportunity to announce the move through a series of outdoor campaigns. One of the billboards reads 'Kingfisher Account moves' in bold with a smaller text on the bottom right hand corner that says Rediffusion – Y&R has moved to Terminal 9, 3rd Floor, Nehru Road, Vile Parle (East). Another reads 'Taj account moves' and 'Colgate account moves' with the same text at the bottom.
