Rediff appoints Basir as group executive VP

Rediffusion DY&R has appointed Wasim Basir as group executive vice president. Basir joins from Red Lounge – a Coca-Cola venture in China where he was Managing Director.  Basir (pictured) will be looking after the agency's key businesses as well as new initiatives to build capabilities. In his earlier role, Basir was spearheading the Olympic efforts of brand Coca-Cola in China, consolidating internal Coca-Cola marketing teams with creative, interactive, activation, PR and media functions, a unique strategic marketing concept within the industry.
