Mayank Jain joins Zee Media as digital ad sales SVP

The media sales leader moves to Zee Media after seven years at TV9 Network, bringing over two decades of cross-platform advertising experience.

Mayank Jain has joined Zee Media as senior vice president – digital ad sales. In this role, Jain will oversee agency and client partnerships while driving advertising revenue across the network’s digital ecosystem.

His responsibilities will include advertising sales across publishing platforms, YouTube, live TV, video on demand (VOD), connected TV (CTV) and OTT platforms. Jain will also lead the overall revenue strategy across Zee Media Network platforms, with a focus on strengthening integrated advertising offerings and expanding digital monetisation opportunities.

Prior to this appointment, Jain spent seven years at TV9 Network, where he most recently served as vice president – digital ad sales. He joined the network in May 2019 as deputy vice president and initially led sales for TV9 Bharatvarsh.

In 2020, Jain transitioned to head digital ad sales for the network, focusing on building its digital advertising proposition and strengthening client partnerships. His role involved expanding integrated sales capabilities across television and digital platforms, while also contributing to the development of the network’s digital monetisation strategy. He was promoted to vice president – digital ad sales in April 2024.

During his tenure at TV9 Network, Jain held several leadership positions and played a key role in scaling the organisation’s digital revenue streams. His work focused on aligning content distribution platforms with advertising solutions and delivering integrated media opportunities for brands and agencies.

Jain brings more than 25 years of experience in media and sales management, spanning television, print, radio and digital advertising. Over the course of his career, he has held senior roles across multiple media organisations, contributing to sales strategy, revenue growth and brand partnerships.

His previous roles include leadership positions at Disney Star, Fox International Channels, National Geographic Channel, 93.5 Red FM, Times Internet, NDTV Good Times, Bennett Coleman and Eenadu.

Jain began his career with Amar Ujala, where he worked across multiple roles during two separate stints, gaining early experience in media sales and publishing.

A sales strategy professional, Jain specialises in print, radio, linear television and digital advertising sales. His experience also includes developing branded content solutions, creating special intellectual properties (IPs) and executing high-impact events designed to deliver marketing engagement for brands.

At Zee Media, Jain is expected to focus on strengthening the network’s digital advertising ecosystem while building partnerships with agencies and advertisers across platforms, aligning content distribution with integrated marketing solutions.
