Believe your entry deserves a Lion? Send us the work and the case

Cannes Contenders: Supari Studios' Absolut India Journey
How much time really does a Cannes juror get to understand a case or piece of work s/he hasn't come across before? Too little. It's up to us to help them get acquainted with the good work prior.     While we do that through the year, this Riviera season we have decided to go the extra mile to celebrate the contenders.

We present here entries from Indian / South Asian agencies that their creators believe will be in contention for Lions at the 2016 International Festival of Creativity, Cannes.

Supari Studios has a contender.

Absolut India Journey

Absolut India Journey :: Master Film from Supari Studios on Vimeo.

This film was created to show how Absolut's limited edition India bottle derived inspiration from elements across the country. So the bottle went to 32 locations in India, allowing the film 52,500 pictures to draw from. The attempt was to capture the landscapes, colours, sounds, languages and characteristic elements of different regions, reflecting the diversity.

The foundation of the soundtrack was created using the Absolut bottle – when the bottle was struck with a metal spoon, it produced a perfect 'C' note. Musical elements from different parts of the country were supplemented with locally recorded organic sound samples, including dialects and languages.

Wondering what Campaign India's picks are? Watch this space. Send in your contenders to [email protected] and [email protected].
