ADbhoot crafts AI-led campaign for CottonKing Aura

ADbhoot launches a cinematic campaign for CottonKing Aura, using AI subtly to enhance storytelling while keeping the focus on fabric quality.

ADbhoot has unveiled a new campaign for CottonKing’s premium linen range, ‘Aura’, combining storytelling and AI-led execution to create a cinematic and product-focused narrative. The campaign positions linen as the central protagonist, using visual craft to highlight texture, movement and finish rather than relying on conventional storytelling tropes.

Built on the idea that premium clothing is experienced rather than simply worn, the campaign focuses on the sensory qualities of the fabric. The film captures details such as the weave, fall and natural movement of the linen, presenting them in a way that emphasises tactility and realism. Each frame is designed to showcase the material’s characteristics, reinforcing the premium positioning of the ‘Aura’ range.

A defining aspect of the campaign is its approach to AI. Instead of foregrounding the technology, ADbhoot has used it as an invisible layer within the production process. The execution avoids overt references to AI, focusing instead on delivering a seamless visual output that appears natural and grounded in real-world physics.

The use of AI is integrated into specific aspects of filmmaking, including maintaining consistency in model features across scenes, ensuring accurate proportions and refining lighting behaviour. This enables tighter continuity and greater control over detailing, contributing to a polished and cohesive final output. The approach reflects a shift from using AI as a spectacle to employing it as a precision tool within creative production.

Vaibhav Pandit, founder and creative director at ADbhoot, said: “AI is powerful only when it doesn’t announce itself. For Aura, our intent was clear. The fabric needed to feel tangible, the lighting needed to behave naturally, and the model had to remain authentic throughout.

The organic way of using AI was the key, as a craft tool, and not a shortcut. We didn't shape the brief around AI; we shaped AI around the brief. Since the entire production was executed in-house, we could push for tighter control, stronger continuity, and sharper detail until the output felt seamless.”

The campaign reflects ADbhoot’s broader approach to modern filmmaking, where technology is used to support storytelling rather than dominate it. By keeping AI in the background, the narrative remains centred on the product and the emotional cues associated with it.

Koushik Marathe, director at CottonKing, said: “With Aura, our vision was clear: to create a premium linen range that feels elevated not just in look, but in experience. Today’s consumer notices the smallest details, how a fabric falls, how it moves, how it retains its finish throughout the day. Linen is a fabric of character - it breathes, it moves, and it carries a distinct elegance that can’t be replicated. This campaign captures that essence beautifully. What worked for us was ADbhoot’s clarity on both the category and the consumer. They approached the film with a sharp sense of strategy and storytelling, while also being deeply involved in the making, ensuring every detail stayed true to the product. The result feels contemporary and aligned with what ‘Aura’ stands for.”

The campaign differentiates itself by avoiding exaggerated narratives or heavy stylisation. Instead, it relies on controlled execution and visual authenticity to communicate product value. This aligns with evolving consumer expectations, where attention to detail and realism play a critical role in premium category storytelling.

The campaign also underscores a broader industry trend of integrating AI into production workflows in a measured way. By focusing on craft and continuity, ADbhoot demonstrates how emerging technologies can enhance creative output without overshadowing the core message.

Through this campaign, CottonKing’s ‘Aura’ range is positioned as a refined, experience-led product, with the storytelling reinforcing its material qualities and premium appeal. The film’s restrained approach ensures that the focus remains on the linen itself, allowing the product to drive both narrative and visual impact.
