The Script Room has announced the addition of Shivani Gairola as executive creative consultant, marking a key leadership move as the independent creative agency completes seven years in the industry and enters its eighth year. The appointment follows the onboarding of Alisha Sharma last year and reflects the agency’s continued focus on strengthening its creative leadership and writing talent.
Founded with a focus on building engaging and distinctive storytelling, The Script Room has developed a reputation for its narrative-led approach across campaigns for brands such as PhonePe, Groww, Ajio and Astrotalk. The agency’s positioning has centred on creating clutter-breaking work driven by strong ideas and culturally relevant storytelling.
Gairola joins the agency’s core writing team after a long-standing association as an independent collaborator. Her appointment formalises an existing working relationship, bringing her into a more integrated role within the agency’s creative structure.
A graduate of MICA, Gairola brings over a decade of experience in advertising. She previously spent five years at Leo Burnett Mumbai, where she worked on brands including McDonald’s, Google and PhonePe. In 2021, she moved into an independent creative director role, working across brands such as Duroflex, Vedantu and Tata Motors, while also collaborating with agencies on campaigns for Tinder, Urban Company and Groww.
Her body of work reflects a mix of brand-building campaigns and digital-first storytelling, aligning with The Script Room’s focus on narrative-driven creative output. Over the years, she has collaborated with the agency on campaigns for Groww, Nykaa and Tinder, contributing to projects that combine strategic thinking with strong writing-led execution.
Shivani Gairola said, “In all these years of flying solo, The Script Room has been my favourite agency to collaborate with. Ayyappan and co. are genuinely some of the best folks in the advertising industry- at their work and at heart. So, I'm very excited to be doing what we do best together, just in a new capacity."
Ayyappan Raj, founder of The Script Room, said, “Shivani’s joining is long overdue! We have worked with her, as an independent writer over the last four years, on successful campaigns for Groww, Nykaa and Tinder. Her strength is a combination of strong ideas and solid strategy. Shivani is an excellent writer and a very good friend, to have her part of our core creative team is a fantastic feeling. I am looking forward to creating great campaigns together.”
The appointment is positioned as part of the agency’s broader effort to expand its creative capabilities and deepen its writing-led approach to campaign development. By strengthening its leadership bench, The Script Room aims to scale its output while maintaining a focus on culturally resonant and insight-driven storytelling.
As the agency enters its eighth year, the addition of Gairola is expected to support its ambition to deliver more engaging and widely recognised work across categories, reinforcing its positioning as a boutique creative partner for brands seeking differentiated narrative-led campaigns.
