This week’s Adland Rockstar is Siddhi Yadav, art director, McCann Erickson.How did you get into advertising?When I was in school, I’d heard of a course in commercial art at Sophia Polytechnic. So I did five years there. As the course progressed, we slowly came to know that there is a huge avenue for art in advertising. I joined TBWA as a trainee for a month, after which I moved to McCann. I’ve been here since 2005.
Ad Club Bombay honours young achievers
The Advertising Club Bombay hosted the second edition of the Young Achievers’ Awards on Friday evening.This year the awards received 242 entries, a significant increase from the 149 entries received last year.O&M’s Ryan Mendonca was recognized as best copywriter for his campaign ‘Breakthrough – Domestic Violence’ for Bell Bajao. The same campaign won Mendonca and his art partner Mark Benjamin the award for ‘Young Achiever of The Year for Social Change’.
