Mindshare to handle strategy, OgilvyAction activation; partnership to cover India, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand

After a multi-agency pitch, Coca-Cola India has appointed OgilvyAction, the activation arm of Ogilvy India, for creating shopper marketing programs for the company’s brand portfolio. The agency will work across all key channels where Coca-Cola India operates in the country, to engage and convert shoppers into buyers at critical points of sale and drive consumption.
OgilvyAction has appointed Vipul Salvi as creative head for its urban experiential, shopper and trade marketing practices. He will be based out of Mumbai and report to Abhijit Avasthi and Rajiv Rao, national creative directors, Ogilvy India.
OgilvyAction has appointed R. Subramaniyam as national head of Ogilvy Live. He will be based out of Mumbai.Subramaniyam began his career with Everest. He then worked for HTA Events (now JWT), followed by Percept D’mark and Publicis Dialog (below-the-line agency of Publicis India). In his last assignment, Subu was responsible for the Mumbai office for Publicis Dialog. He has handled clients like ICICI Lombard, Citigroup Smith Barney, Godrej Sara Lee, Cleartrip.com, Bisleri, Emami and Navratan Oil.
As a first step towards developing and strengthening the Retail Practice, O&M India has announced the appointment of Rahul Saigal, vice president - retail. The Retail Practice is aligned with OgilvyAction. Saigal (pictured) will be based in Mumbai.
