The Economist sees circulation surge in India

The Economist Group's annual circulation figure surged 37 per cent in India from 2008 to 2009, reinforcing India's role as a prominent market for financial-related brands. Between February 2008 and February 2009, the title’s circulation rose from 16,620 to 23,183. According to the publication, the figure is attributed to aggressive branding efforts made by the magazine since the beginning of the year, which include marketing campaigns to drive traffic to its website and strategic partnership deals with companies such as Jet Airways and ICICI Bank.
