PUMA celebrates RCB’s second IPL title win

PUMA India has marked Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s back-to-back IPL championship triumph with a new campaign featuring Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar.

PUMA India has unveiled a new campaign celebrating Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s second consecutive IPL title, following the franchise’s victory over Gujarat in the IPL 2026 final. The campaign centres on a visual featuring Virat Kohli and RCB captain Rajat Patidar hoisting giant golden stars, symbolising the team’s championship success and continued rise within Indian cricket.

Released as celebrations unfolded across Bengaluru and among supporters nationwide, the creative quickly became a focal point for fans. Each golden star represents a championship title, reinforcing the franchise’s achievement of securing back-to-back IPL victories.

Titled 'Good Things Come in Pairs', the campaign serves as PUMA India’s tribute to RCB’s growing legacy. The visual features Jacob Bethell, Kohli and Patidar carrying oversized golden stars, each representing a title-winning chapter in the club’s history. Developed as part of PUMA India’s long-standing partnership with the franchise, the campaign highlights a team that has evolved from one of the league’s most supported sides into one of Indian sport’s most successful modern teams.

The creative also reflects RCB’s recent success beyond the IPL. Alongside consecutive IPL championships, the franchise has secured two Women’s Premier League titles, further strengthening its position in Indian cricket and expanding its competitive achievements across formats.

To extend the celebration beyond the key visual, PUMA India released a behind-the-scenes video featuring Kohli, Bethell and Patidar. The content offers fans access to interactions between the players and captures the atmosphere within the championship-winning squad. The video forms part of the brand’s broader content strategy aimed at bringing supporters closer to the team through exclusive and behind-the-scenes storytelling.

In addition, the sportswear brand introduced a limited-edition PUMA x RCB Champions Tee. Available through select retail outlets and the brand’s online platform, the merchandise launch provides supporters with a commemorative product linked directly to the team’s title-winning campaign.

The latest initiative builds on PUMA India’s association with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, a partnership that has now extended for more than five years. Throughout this period, the brand has focused on fan engagement through content, merchandise, collaborations and experiences designed to strengthen the connection between the club and its supporters.

Earlier in the season, PUMA India expanded its fan engagement efforts through the '#RCBEverywhere' campaign. The initiative sought to place the RCB brand within a broader global sporting context through collaborations with football club AC Milan and content featuring sprinting icon and longtime PUMA ambassador Usain Bolt alongside the franchise.

The brand has also invested in digital community-building through its dedicated RCB Broadcast Channel on Instagram. The platform provides fans with exclusive content, merchandise launches, giveaways and behind-the-scenes access, creating a continuous engagement touchpoint for supporters throughout the season.

These efforts have contributed to the growth of one of cricket’s most active fan communities. RCB currently has more than 42 million followers across social media platforms, including 24.4 million followers on Instagram, making it the most-followed IPL franchise on the platform. The team also remains the most-searched franchise in the league on Google.

The campaign reflects PUMA India’s strategy of connecting sport, culture and fan engagement through timely creative executions linked to key moments in the cricket calendar. By celebrating RCB’s latest title success through content, merchandise and community-led initiatives, the brand continues to reinforce its long-term association with the franchise and its supporters.

As Royal Challengers Bengaluru adds another championship to its record, PUMA India’s latest campaign positions the club’s achievements at the centre of fan conversations while celebrating a team that now carries two championship stars and a growing legacy within Indian sport.
