Sourabh Mishra joins Saatchi & Saatchi

Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Sourabh Mishra as its national strategy director.  He will join Saatchi mid May, 2009. He comes from TBWA where he was the chief strategy officer.

Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Sourabh Mishra as its national strategy director.  He will join Saatchi mid May, 2009. He comes from TBWA where he was the chief strategy officer.

Mishra started his career at Contract Advertising as a management trainee in December 1993. He has also worked at Ogilvy as head planning for Bangalore and Hyderabad, and later as planning director for Mumbai, and at McCann Erickson as head of planning for Bangalore. He joined Everest as national planning director in 2004. After a brief stint at Reliance Capital as VP – branding, he returned to advertising as the head of planning at TBWA in May 2007.

Mishra has worked on accounts like Cadbury, Coca Cola India, Parle, Nivea, Sify, Polaris, Titan, ITC Aashirvaad, NIIT, Himalaya, TVS, Kwality Walls, Dabur and BPL Mobile.

Commenting on the appointment, Kamal Basu, CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi said, “I am delighted to have Sourabh on board and as a key member of the executive management committee. This move will definitely strengthen our position in this competitive environment.”

Mishra said, “The challenges that will be posed to me at Saatchi are hugely exciting, and it is about being part of a team that is out to create something different which got me to sign on the dotted line.”
