PR Professionals (PRP), an integrated communications firm and the flagship arm of PRP Group, has been appointed as the public relations partner for Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL). Under the mandate, PRP will manage strategic communications, media relations and outreach initiatives for BSPHCL and its subsidiary companies, supporting the organisation’s efforts to communicate reforms, sector developments and public-facing initiatives across Bihar’s power ecosystem.
The appointment further deepens PRP’s engagement with the energy and power sector. The mandate follows the recent addition of Goldi Solar and Premier Energies to the agency’s client portfolio, signalling an expanding footprint across both conventional and renewable energy segments. Goldi Solar operates as a solar panel manufacturer, EPC, service provider and independent power producer, with a manufacturing capacity of 14.7 GW. Premier Energies Limited, a listed company, is among India’s established solar manufacturing players, with end-to-end capabilities covering high-efficiency solar cells and modules and a manufacturing capacity of 11.1 GW.
With clients spanning state utilities, renewable energy manufacturers and energy innovators, PRP has built a broad communications presence within the sector. The agency’s experience includes work with the Ministry of Power, Government of India, Power Finance Corporation, Power Trading Corporation, NHPC, REC and Maharashtra State Power Generation Company, alongside private sector brands such as ZunRoof, Eastman Auto and Power, Suvastik Solar, Sukam, SAEL and Sunkind India.
Commenting on the mandate, Dr Sarvesh Kumar Tiwari, founder and managing director of PR Professionals, said, “The energy sector is undergoing a fundamental transformation, and public institutions play a pivotal role in ensuring reliable, accessible, and future-ready power for citizens. We are honoured to partner with Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited and support its communication efforts as it continues to strengthen power infrastructure and service delivery across the state. This mandate, along with recent additions like Goldi Solar and Premier Energies, reflects the trust placed in PRP’s sectoral understanding and execution capabilities.”
The BSPHCL assignment also strengthens PRP’s presence in Bihar, where the agency has worked with several government departments and public sector institutions. Its portfolio in the state includes the Department of Revenue and Land Reforms, Bihar State Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, Bihar School Examination Board, Bihar Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute, Bihar Water Development Society, Software Technology Parks of India, Bihar Vidhan Sabha, Bihar Business Connect, Bihar State Food Corporation, the Soil Conservation Board, Patna Metro and GSTN.
Sunil Pandey, head Bihar at PR Professionals, noted that the mandate reflects the agency’s long-standing engagement in the region. He said, “Bihar has been an important market for PR Professionals for several years. Our experience of working closely with government departments and public institutions in the state has given us a strong understanding of the local media and administrative nuances. The BSPHCL mandate is a natural progression of the work we have been doing in Bihar for several years.”
Established in 2011, PRP operates as a fully integrated communications agency delivering branding and public relations services across sectors. The PRP Group has expanded to 12 offices across India and six international locations. Confianza Consulting, another group company, provides human resource services spanning talent acquisition, performance management, compliance and employee engagement.
