One look at the commentary below the spot on YouTube and you realise it takes guts, even in the USA, for a brand to show a lesbian couple adopting a child. 
 
In this case, the child they are going to adopt is speech impaired, and the mothers-to-be learn sign language to be able to welcome the girl home.
