Nirma Washing Powder has recently launched a new TVC, that is a refreshingly new take on the brand's existing positioning. The TVC has been created by TapRoot India. Speaking about the brief given by the client, Santosh Padhi (popularly known as Paddy), CCO, TapRoot India said, "The brief was to reiterate the softer, mood uplifting emotions that Brand Nirma has always stood for since it was launched. Also, we were given the task of breaking new ground with the same old base rather than demolishing it and building a new platform."
Agnello Dias and Santosh Padhi’s newly announced venture has run into trouble because of its name, Roots India. A New Delhi based communications agency, Roots Advertising Services Pvt Ltd, has objected to the use of the name. According to director Atul Chauhan, they have written to Aggie and Paddy and informed them of the objection. While Aggie confirmed to the objection on the use of the name, at the time of filing this report, he could not confirm that they were changing the name. He also mentioned that they are in touch with Roots Advertising.
