Mediabrands and Interactive Avenues form JV
Interactive Avenues has entered a joint venture with the New-York based Mediabrands, the media holding company within Interpublic Group. The joint venture will assume the name of Reprise Media. Mediabrands will hold a 51% stake in the joint venture and Interactive Avenues will hold the remaining 49%. Through this transaction, the new business unit will specialize in search and social marketing and also offer a full scope of digital services which include digital media strategy and investment, digital creative development, campaign implementation and post activity analysis.
AME round-up: Day two
The second day of the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival in Hong Kong kicked off on Wednesday with a talk from Nick Brien, president and CEO of Mediabrands, on customer motivation.Brien urged marketers and agencies continuing to take a traditional approach to acknowledge the impact of digital media on the lives of consumers.

Interpublic has created a media holding company structure called Mediabrands that will include its two media agencies Initiative and Universal McCann. When Campaign India spoke to Lynn de Souza, chairman and CEO, Lintas Media Group (pictured), about the implications of the move in India, she said, "In time, yes, the creation of the new management entity Mediabrands would have implications for the Indian market as well. I cannot share any details with you at this point, though."
