Top 3 GECs slip as FIFA grows

All the top three Hindi general entertainment channels slipped this week, losing a combined 75 GRPs in week 26 (TAM, HSM, CS4+)STAR Plus stayed in the leaad with 411 GRPs, Colors was next with 253 GRPs and Zee was at 211 GRPs.Sony gained to notch up 148 GRPs. SAB went ahead of Imagine (91 GRPs) with 97 GRPs.

Colors stays on top; STAR Plus, Zee trade places

Colors looked on course to end the year in the number one position as it totted up 322 GRPs in Week 48 (TAM, HSM, CS 4+), down slightly from their 330 GRP score last week. STAR Plus moved back into the number two slot with 253 GRPs, a nose ahead of Zee at 251 GRPs. Sony at 188 GRPs was almost unchanged. Colors gets lonely at the top

Colors continued on its rampaging run to notch up 340 GRPs (TAM, HSM, CS4+) in week 44 with STAR Plus in second spot with 243 GRPs. Zee TV moved to third place with 234 GRPs.Sony and NDTV Imagine were steady at 160 GRPs and 103 GRPs respectively. SAB completes the line up with 72 GRPs.

Colors has a happy Navratri

Colors was back in the lead in the GEC stakes in week 39 with 263 GRPs (last week 279 GRPs) followed by STAR Plus with 254 GRPs (281 GRPs) and Zee TV with 221 GRPs (246 GRPs). Sony was at 143 GRPs while NDTV Imagine slipped below 100 to 94 GRPs. Real continues its miserable run with an all-time low of 4 GRPs. With India knocked out of the cricket, the GECs will continue to compete with each other rather than with cricket.Track GECs' performance in 2009:
