Origin Beanstalk bags Verdant Learning account
Verdant Learning, promoted by former Times of India president Arun Arora (pictured), has signed on Origin Beanstalk Creative Consultants as its creative agency. There was no pitch for the business.Confirming the news, Ajay Mehra, CEO of Verdant, said, “We were looking for a compatible partner who understands our business model and our creative requirements and has a clear understanding of the segment we are operating in. We found Origin Beanstalk to be the agency that can deliver this.”

I’ve had two meetings in the last ten days with Arun Arora and his core team at Edvance Learning. They’re launching three products in the education space – none of them delayed or cancelled thanks to the slowdown.Every morning, each non-pink newspaper sees a number of ads for educational establishments– colleges, tutorial classes, vocational training institutes.I wouldn’t be surprised, this year, despite the slowdown, to see the total spend on education go up significantly.
Arun Arora turns entrepreneur, too
Arun Arora, who recently resigned as president of Bennett & Coleman after a thirty year stint has launched his own company called Edvance Learning Pvt Ltd.Speaking to Campaign India, he said, “I have decided to go ahead and join like-minded people to follow my passion in education to bring about a step change in the education system and reach out to hundreds of thousands of youth who are not able to achieve their objectives. Our area of operation will span from pre-school to re-skilling the skilled.”
