Neo Cricket has launched a new campaign to promote six months of non-stop cricketing action.The channel has the telecast rights for the India-Australia series (October), India-Sri Lanka series (November-December), India-Sri Lanka-Bangladesh tri-series (January 2010) and the India-South Africa series (February-March 2010).
Neo Sports has signed up cricketer Harbhajan Singh (pictured) as its brand ambassador, to promote cricket on Neo Cricket. As the brand ambassador, Singh will spearhead the channel's publicity activities, including events, on-ground activities and special presence in on-air shows on the channel.
Neo Sports Broadcast has appointed Abhishek Verma as head of marketing and communications for its channels. Verma comes from Sony Entertainment Television, where he was heading the marketing division of SAB TV. Before Sony, Verma was marketing manager with Discovery Channel. He has created various loyalty marketing programmes at SurfGold, a Singapore based CRM consultancy, where he was head of client services. At SurfGold, he handled clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, FedEx, Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard.
