The heads of the 2009 Cannes Lions outdoor and radio jury have been announced. Akira Kagami, (pictured) Dentsu's executive officer and global executive creative director will lead the 2009 Cannes Lions Outdoor Jury. With a career at Dentsu spanning 30 years, Akira Kagami is currently focusing on strengthening Dentsu's creative network and client work in Asia.
David Lubars, chairman and chief creative officer, BBDO North America will chair both the Film and Press juries for the 2009 Cannes Lions festival.
Uniqlo, the Japanese apparel brand which won a Grand Prix in the Titanium and Cyber Lion category at the Cannes Lions 2008, is partnering with the organizers of the annual advertising festival, in an initiative that will invite people from all over the world to design the t-shirt for the festival in 2009. In the Cannes Lions t-shirt Grand Prix competition, previously unpublished designs can be submitted from November 21, 2008 on the site http://ut.uniqlo.com/utcannes/en/.
