Weekend fun: 'English Vinglish'-inspired nostalgia

English Vinglish releases today and according to IMDB, it's the story of "A belittled and insecure Indian housewife enrolls in an English language class". While we're yet to catch the flick ourselves, the theme brings back memories of two epic shows that used to come on Indian television - Mind Your Language (in the 1980s on Doordarshan) and Zabaan Sambhalke (that used to come on DD Metro in the 1990s).
