Wavemaker, Mondelez emerge top winners at EMVIE Awards 2025

EMVIES receive 1,779 entries from 33 agencies this year with 443 entries being shortlisted for evaluation.

Wavemaker India with 665 points was recognised as ‘The Best Media Agency of the Year’ and ‘Mondelez India Foods’ with 380 points was declared as ‘The Best Media Client of the Year’ during EMVIE Awards 2025. Conducted annually by The Advertising Club (TAC), the awards marked their 25th edition this year.

Initiative Media (India) was honoured with the Grand EMVIE Award for Amazon Prime Video—Gen AI, for its interactive storytelling, and gangland drama equalling the success for Mirzapur, in the ‘Best Media Innovation: Best Use of AI for a Media Solution’ category.

Among other top winners, Mindshare India bagged the second place by scoring 570 points and EssenceMediacom stood third with 275 points. The EMVIE for Diversity Equality & Inclusion (DE&I) Award was conferred on Interactive Avenues for its ‘Ek macchhli paani mein gayi (A fish entered the water) – the acid attack survivor’s version’ campaign for Chhanv Foundation.

Navneet Kabra from Wavemaker India bagged ‘The Young EMVIE of The Year’ Award for ‘The Joker Who Got Cadbury the Winning Hand’ crafted for Cadbury 5 Star & Cadbury Celebrations.

Rana Barua, group CEO, Havas India, South East, and North Asia, and president of The Advertising Club, said, “These awards have become a true reflection of our industry’s relentless pursuit of innovation, creativity, and excellence. The EMVIES have evolved to capture the spirit of transformative storytelling and the power of effective media strategies.”

The 25th edition of the EMVIE Awards by The Advertising Club, in association with The Times of India and UltraTech Cement, honoured brand innovators and thought leaders for their brand and media strategies. The function was held at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai last week.

This year, the EMVIEs received 1,779 entries from 33 agencies, with 443 entries being shortlisted for scrutiny. The evaluation process involved more than 1,000 professionals from the advertising, marketing, media, and research fields. The key awards included one Grand EMVIE, 46 Gold winners, 71 Silver winners and 73 Bronze winners.

Punitha Arumugam, chairperson, EMVIES Committee, said, “This year’s winners exemplify the best of what media can achieve when insights, strategy, and technology come together.”
