Rapid fire with Nisha Narayanan

Our year-ender this time around places the fraternity on the 'hot seat' to answer questions about the year gone by and their expectations from 2024

Rapid fire with Nisha Narayanan

Campaign India's year-ender series continues with Nisha Narayanan, director and COO, Red FM and Magic FM.

This year, we're reaching out to the advertising, media and marketing communities, and asking them to give quick, crisp answers to a set of questions intended to highlight the highs and lows of the year gone by, and their take on technology advancements.

Here's Narayanan's take on it:

Data or gut: Gut. Most appropriate politically correct answer is data and it's true to a large extent.

I have always followed my gut along with data. So a tad bit 10% gut always drives my decision making. So, according to me, it's my gut as well.

AI a boon or bane: AI is a human invention, meant to support the ecosystem and not take over. As long as it is a helping hand, I am okay saying it is a boon.

A gift you want from Santa: Professionally, I would appreciate if independent news were allowed on the private FM radio, as radio is a very powerful medium. Personally, I am hoping for a state-of-the-art home gym!

One piece of professional advice you would give to your past self at the beginning of 2023: If I am to tell myself something in 2023, it would be to procrastinate more. I need to work on procrastinating a little sometimes. I would also say slow down, and avoid being burnout. Live in the moment.

The most valuable lesson you learned from a professional failure this year: Not failure really, but a learning in general has been this: that regional is what we will be going forward with for the next couple of years. Cultural celebration and regional ethos and celebration is something which we will be focusing on and according to me that is power and reaching out to the masses.

If your new year resolution had a tagline for 2024, what would it be? Mastering the art of ‘carpe diem’.
