PunToon Kids, VidUnit appoint Sagar Panda to lead brand partnerships

He will also lead integrated digital sales and branded content initiatives across both businesses.

PunToon Kids and VidUnit have appointed Sagar Panda as vice president – brand partnerships, reinforcing their leadership team as both platforms expand their content and advertiser offerings. Panda brings close to two decades of experience across media, advertising and digital ecosystems, with a focus on building integrated brand alliances and driving revenue growth.

In his new role, Panda will lead brand partnerships, integrated digital sales and branded content initiatives across both businesses. His remit includes creating scalable and outcome-driven collaboration models for advertisers, particularly as VidUnit accelerates its focus on celebrity-led digital content intellectual properties.

The appointment comes at a time when content-led advertising solutions are becoming central to brand strategies, especially in categories targeting children, families and digitally native audiences. For PunToon Kids, the focus remains on kids’ content and safe, brand-friendly environments. VidUnit, meanwhile, is building premium digital IPs anchored in celebrity participation, creating new opportunities for sponsorship-led integrations.

Most recently, Panda headed the west and north regional business at Lokal News App, where he was responsible for driving regional expansion and revenue growth. His previous roles span ZEE5, Zee Entertainment, Sakal Media Group, The Hindu Group, India TV, Network18 (News18) and Dalal Street Investment Journal. Across these organisations, he has worked on digital and programmatic ad sales, native advertising, branded content, sponsorship-driven IPs and concept-led selling.

Sourabh Kumar, founder and CEO of PunToon Kids and VidUnit, said the businesses are scaling rapidly across content, creators and brand solutions. He added that Panda’s strategic thinking and execution capabilities would be critical in building long-term partnerships across kids’ content and celebrity-led digital properties.

The role reflects the increasing convergence of content, commerce and brand storytelling. Advertisers are seeking deeper integrations that move beyond spot buys, and platforms such as PunToon Kids and VidUnit are positioning themselves as partners that can deliver both scale and contextual relevance.

Panda’s experience in building high-performing teams and forecasting revenue is expected to support the companies’ ambitions to deliver consistent value to advertisers while expanding their content portfolios. His mandate also includes aligning sales strategy with evolving advertiser expectations around measurability, brand safety and audience engagement.

With this appointment, PunToon Kids and VidUnit aim to strengthen their presence across kids’ entertainment, creator-led formats and premium digital IPs, while offering brands structured and credible partnership opportunities in a fragmented digital landscape.
