Reviews

The Coca-Cola Company is set to run a global review of its media, data science and technology capabilities, in a showdown between Publicis Groupe and WPP. The review will begin in July, with decisions expected in the autumn, and it is being handled in partnership with Mediasense.

Wins

L’Oréal India recently appointed Publicis Media as its integrated media agency of record from September 2026, concluding a strategic review that signals how global beauty companies are recalibrating media partnerships around data, commerce and precision-led consumer targeting. The account move marks the end of a long-standing relationship with Wavemaker, which handled the business for around 15 years.

Dentsu India picked up the integrated media mandate for the Tata Group’s Indian Premier League (IPL). The win brought multiple Tata Group companies, including Tata Motors, Voltas, TATA AIG, CaratLane, and Air India Express, under a unified media strategy for one of India’s most-watched sporting properties, reflecting a strategic shift toward centralised planning and cohesive brand storytelling.

Havas Media India has been appointed as media AOR for online matchmaking company Matrimony.com, which houses some of the country’s top matchmaking brands such as BharatMatrimony, Elite Matrimony, Tamil Matrimony, Telugu Matrimony, Kerala Matrimony and about 300+ community matrimony platforms.

Burger King India has appointed Kinnect, the integrated creative agency within the Omnicom Advertising India network, to bring “the sizzle to our sauce” as it seeks to strengthen the QSR brand’s connect with Gen Z and millennial audiences. The creative mandate includes brand strategy, creative communication, digital storytelling, and culture-led campaigns.

Hakuhodo has been appointed as the creative partner for Jindal Stainless as it accelerates its B2C play. Hakuhodo India was the agency behind the music-led ‘Jindal Saathi Seal Hai, Toh Asli Stainless Steel Hai’ campaign featuring brand ambassador Ranveer Singh. Last month, Jindal Stainless has also brought on board Madison Media as its official media agency on record.
