Lee Garfinkel joins Euro RSCG as chief creative officer on global brands

Euro RSCG has appointed Lee Garfinkel as chief creative officer, global brands, at the agency network. He will report to global chief executive officer David Jones, and will work closely with Euro RSCG’s roster of global clients along with president of global accounts Matt Ryan.

Garfinkel was most recently chairman and chief creative officer of DDB New York. During his tenure at DDB, he was also the architect of the New York agency’s first digital group. Prior to joining DDB, he served as the president and chief creative officer of D’Arcy Worldwide. Garfinkel also spent eight years with Lowe US where he was the agency’s chairman, chief executive officer and chief creative officer.

“In an era of more and more messages, smaller and smaller screens and shorter and shorter consumer attention spans, brilliant creativity that cuts through the clutter is ever more important,” said Jones. “Lee's track record in coming up with big, creative ideas that cross all media is unparalleled. I'm delighted to welcome such a brilliant creative mind and am sure he'll be a major asset to our clients globally.”

"The Euro RSCG team, starting with David Jones and Matt Ryan, truly impressed me with their intelligence and their vision for the future. Creativity, big ideas, digital and social media are the driving force behind everything they do and I'm looking forward to joining their mission," said Garfinkel.

Garfinkel’s awards include Cannes Lions for Subaru, Pepsi, Mercedes, Beneficial and Heineken. He’s also been honored by the One Show, ANDY and Clio awards, among others.
