IMX launches new deal management, inventory administration tool i-Deal

Indian Media Exchange (IMX) has launched a new deal management and inventory administration tool, i-Deal. The tool will allow investment managers of IMX and planners and implementation executives in Starcom and ZenithOptimedia to access the deals of clients. The system will also keep track of pricing, inventory levels and consumption status and alert users as per pre defined routines.

Indian Media Exchange (IMX) has launched a new deal management and inventory administration tool, i-Deal. The tool will allow investment managers of IMX and planners and implementation executives in Starcom and ZenithOptimedia to access the deals of clients. The system will also keep track of pricing, inventory levels and consumption status and alert users as per pre defined routines.

i-Deal will also give IMX clients access to their own current and old deals through a web interface. The tool has been conceived by IMX and developed by a third party software company. The current version supports TV and radio.

Sejal Shah, vice president, India-west and south, IMX said, "With ever increasing supply options and the number of deals that is negotiated for clients, managing and administering deals has become a complex challenge. Planner and buyers spend a lot of time managing and reconciling deals manually, and despite that, reconciliation of deals has always remained a thorny issue, creating not only sticky situations between the client, the media agency, and the media owner, but significantly reducing the talent productivity."

"With the launch of this powerful proprietary tool, we hope to use technology to reduce human drudgery, improve the accuracy of deal tracking and deliver a superior and accountable pre-buy and post-buy," she added.
