Cannes Lions 2011: Out of the Box bags a Gold in Design Lions

India’s second Gold at Cannes Lions 2011 came from the Design category, with Delhi-based Out of the Box winning it for their brochure design for a pre-school chain, Mothers Pride. In all, India managed to get five metals in this category with TBWA India winning a Silver Lion, and Mudra adding two Silver and one Bronze to its kitty.

Entered in the ‘Publications & Business Communications’ sub-category, Out of the Box wanted to emphasise the many activities at the school in an engaging manner, while highlighting the new tagline ‘Love blossoms here’. For the brochure, the agency created illustrations of flowers in bloom, which on closer inspection turns out to be children dancing, playing, taking part in festivals etc.

TBWA\India won the Silver Lion in the ‘Graphic Design & Design Crafts’ sub-category for their calendar entry ‘Immigration Stamps’ for Yatra Online. Mudra won its Silvers for their entry ‘Dwarf Depressions’ for Loving Hands Ministry.
