Weekend Fun: Brooklyn Film Fest takes on ‘classic’ Hollywood, positions itself ‘3000 miles away’

Watch the promos crated by TBWA\Chiat\Day New York for the event that kicks off today

We got to know of the Brooklyn Film Festival (BFF), an annual competitive festival for independent filmmakers, only because of its promos. So here they are. 
 
Each of them uses a classic movie scenario and how that would play out in a Hollywood script, before drastically contrasting it with how it would be depicted at a Brooklyn Film Festival entry.
 
The clip above depicts a Hollywood fight scene, with all the strings attached, literally. The Brooklyn Film Fest fight scene comes across as the real thing. There’s more.

The fest runs from 29 May to 7 June 2015. Given the strong positioning statement the promos make, one might want to check out the films that do well at the BFF.
