MMGB: #VogueEmpower ‘My Choice’

Watch the powerful short film on women’s right to equality

Vogue India has released a short film titled, ‘My choice’ for their #VogueEmpower initiative. The film features Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone who lends her voice to the film.

‘My Choice’ is written by Kersi Khambatta and shot by Tassaduq Hussain.

‘My Choice’ is visually represented by moving portraits of 99 women in black and white who express themselves spontaneously to the lines narrated by Padukone. The film sees a number of high-profile pledge-makers, who agreed to be ambassadors of change.

Priya Tanna, editor, Vogue India,  said, “For me, ’My Choice’ holds a mirror to what women feel, think and want to express. In its approach and voice it is fundamentally an anthem for women who want to live life on their own terms, and pursue their own sun. It is both touching and thought provoking. This is the third video in our series of #VogueEmpower films–and it features 99 women who cut across age, demographics and professions to come together as a unified voice and representatives for their gender.”
