Foodpanda promises to put every delivery to the 'panda-test'

Watch the ad film conceptualised by Cheil India here, an online food ordering platform, has launched a new TV ad campaign. The two TVCs, conceptualised by Cheil India, highlight the core proposition of foodpanda, “If foodpanda likes it, you will love it!” The creative will be on air from 14 November to 21 December 2014.

The first ad film is titled 'Delivery Boy'. The ad film begins with a deliver boy about to enter a building when a panda suddenly appears behind him. The panda seems to be approving of the boy's arrival time. The panda then sticks a thermometer into the parcel and checks the temperature of the food. He approves of that too and it is only then that he lets the food be delivered. The ad film showcases the services offered and ends with a voice over 'Happy Food Ordering'.

In the second ad film, the panda appears on the scene in an Italian restaurant where a chef is preparing a pizza. The panda shows his dissatisfaction with the amount of toppings the chef has put on the pizza and only when he thinks the add-ons are enough, does he give the chef his nod of approval. The ad film showcases the services offered and ends with a voiceover of 'Happy Food Ordering'.
Rohit Chadda, MD and co- founder - foodpanda, commented, “Over the last two years, foodpanda has grown stupendously, covering more than 100 cities. With great coverage, tie ups with the top brands and streamlined operations to achieve a flawless consumer experience, foodpanda is now ready to reach out to a larger audience with its key communications. Through the TVCs, we aim to capture the value additions that our services bring to the customer and our deep commitment to quality and satisfaction.”
Nima DT Namchu, chief creative officer, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia, added, “With the ad films created for foodpanda, our endeavour was to convey the pleasure that foodpanda’s services bring into the lives of users. The adorable mascot and his happy dance which feature in both TVCs help achieve a light-hearted cheerfulness which one easily associates with wholesome, hot food delivered to one’s doorstep.”
