McCann creates new L'Oreal TVC

McCann Erickson has created a new TVC featuring brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for L'Oreal's new Total Repair 5 shampoo. In the TVC, Rai Bachchan is shown conveying the brand's message through the traditional method of testimonial advertising with Rai giving consumers five  reasons to change their shampoo.

In keeping with its reputation to rope in high profile Bollywood actors for brand Lux, HUL has now roped in Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the latest campaign. The last campaign for Lux featured Priyanka Chopra in a Cindrella-esque setting. JWT has been behind both of these campaigns.

New Generations study: Indian kids now get 39% more pocket money

The eighth edition of New Generations, Cartoon Network's patented kids' lifestyle research has some refreshed insights for marketers about consumption patterns, likes and dislikes amongs children.First up, the power of consumption amongst kids has increased (34% over 2008) and they received a total of Rs 664 crore* in pocket money and gift money in 2009. That's an increase of 39% over 2008.
