ZenithOptimedia has named Gulrez Alam, founder and global COO of its digital marketing agency Resultrix, as its chief development officer for Apac. He will be based in Singapore in the new role, with the mandate of leading new business and developing digital in the Asia Pacific, informed a ZenithOptimedia statement.
Tanmay Mohanty, COO, Resultrix India, has been given the additional mandate of performance marketing agency Performics India as its MD. He will report into Anupriya Acharya, group CEO, ZenithOptimedia India.
Publicis Groupe launched Performics in India in September 2011. It acquired Resultrix in August 2012. Post its acquisition, Resultrix operated as a unit within Performics. At the time of Performics’ launch, Campaign India reported that ZO’s digital offering ‘Zed Digital’ was merged with the new division, and its head Rajat Gandhi was named head of Performics in India. On the move, Alam said, “I totally believe in ZenithOptimedia’s Live ROI philosophy. I am excited about offering data-led solutions to clients across mainline and digital media. And also looking forward to working with a very passionate, performance and excellence driven team at ZO Apac office. As I move, I am totally confident in Tanmay taking over the India responsibilities from me and am sure he will take the organisation to greater heights”
In a prepared statement, Acharya noted that Resultrix had been a ‘spectacular success story’ and would continue to be a competitive advantage for the ZenithOptimedia Group in India.
She added, "Our revenues from digital as ZO Group in India, are already upwards of 40 per cent and we will focus to grow this further in the coming years."
