ASCI upholds 152 complaints  
 
In August 2016, ASCI’s Consumer Complaints Council (CCC) upheld complaints against 152 of the 209 advertisements it reviewed. Of the 152, 66 belonged to the education category, 27 to healthcare, 17 were from F&B, 10 in personal care and five in clothing and accessories. Twenty seven ads against whom complaints were upheld were in 'other' categories.
 
Rentickle.com appoints Liqvd Asia
 
Rentickle.com, a furniture, appliance and other home essentials renting service, has appointed Liqvd Asia to handle its digital performance marketing. The service is currently available in Delhi NCR  and Hyderabad. 
 
Sameer Rao joins Discovery Networks 
 
Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific has appointed Sameer Rao as vice president, effective 25 November. Rao's mandate is to lead content curation, audience development, creative and original content for Discovery’s 'Real World Products' suite which includes Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo, Discovery Tamil, Discovery HD World and Animal Planet HD World. Rao is based in Mumbai and reports to Karan Bajaj, SVP and GM South Asia, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific. He joins from UTV's studio division where he was creative director. 
 
Roca's initiative for World Toilet Day
 
For World Toilet Day, which fell on 19 November, Roca tied up with the We Are Water foundation to take on open defecation. An activity was organised in DLF Place in New Delhi which invited people to pledge their support by adding bricks around silhouettes of people squatting on the floor. The addition of bricks led to the creation of four walls around the silhouette and message of ‘Need of enclosed toilets and improving sanitation’ was revealed. For each brick added, Roca committed to an investment of Rs.1000 towards the construction of toilets in rural India. 
 
FCB India bags Palava City
 
FCB India has been appointed as the creative agency for real estate major Lodha’s Greenfield project Palava City. A campaign is to be rolled out across print, OOH, digital and BTL, in West India and international markets. Palava City is located in the outskirts of Mumbai.
