HYBE INDIA taps Snapchat for AR-led auditions

HYBE INDIA and Snapchat India have partnered to create an AR-powered talent discovery platform targeting aspiring artists across India.

HYBE INDIA has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Snapchat India to launch an AR-driven talent discovery initiative aimed at identifying the next global girl group from India and the Indian diaspora.

The collaboration introduces a ‘Lens-to-Stage’ audition experience that integrates Snapchat’s augmented reality capabilities with HYBE INDIA’s talent discovery and development ecosystem. Positioned as a new approach to youth engagement and artist recruitment, the partnership aims to move beyond conventional social media outreach by using Snapchat’s camera-first platform and visual communication tools.

The initiative will begin with an AR-powered audition process that allows aspiring artists to submit applications directly through Snapchat using a dedicated audition Lens. The platform will also provide access to creator-led guidance and support content through the wider Snap ecosystem.

As part of the collaboration, HYBE INDIA and Snapchat India are building a broader talent and content ecosystem around digital discovery, accessibility and creator education. Through the ‘Borderless Audition’ initiative, young women across India and the global diaspora can participate in the HYBE INDIA auditions by filming and uploading content using the dedicated Lens.

To support participants, HYBE INDIA’s official Snapchat profile will feature educational ‘How-To’ content and guidance from Snap Stars, designed to help aspiring talent refine their digital presence and audition submissions. The Lens-based format also creates a standardised technical environment for casting directors to evaluate applications consistently.

The partnership is aimed at expanding HYBE INDIA’s outreach among Gen Z audiences while extending audition accessibility beyond metropolitan markets into smaller cities and regional centres to identify untapped talent pools.
