The secure video hosting platform player, VdoCipher has launched ZenStream, a live-streaming service targeted at broadcasters, educators, and media platforms. Developed based on AWS and Google Cloud Platform, ZenStream can support up to one lakh viewers per session, while allowing for full HD playback. The solution features digital video recorder (DVR) functionality, allowing viewers to rewind up to six hours, pause, and revisit moments during live streams.

Siddhant Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of VdoCipher, said, “Traditional live streaming often leaves viewers helpless when interruptions occur. ZenStream’s DVR feature enables them to catch up on missed moments, ensuring a flexible viewing experience.”

The DVR streaming feature can be useful during live events such as cricket matches, conferences, and educational webinars, where missing key moments can affect audience satisfaction. By offering viewers greater control, ZenStream aims to enhance their trust and loyalty. The company informs that the solution can integrate with websites or apps in less than 300 seconds.

ZenStream also features real-time audience interaction, automatic recording with DRM protection, and global playback. The use cases for these features include live sports, corporate events, educational webinars, and entertainment broadcasts. VdoCipher informs that it has assisted over 3,000 businesses in streaming 26 crore hours (29885 years) of content in over 180 countries.

VdoCipher provides secure video solutions with piracy protection tools. India’s e-learning sector is said to be losing nearly ₹2,000 crores yearly due to piracy. Even the OTT platforms suffer from content piracy leading to lost revenue opportunities.

Last year, VdoCipher claimed that its piracy tracker engine blocked over 60,000 attempts at video piracy in six months, helping content creators and distributors recover their revenue losses. VdoCipher incorporates digital rights management (DRM) technology into its tools to ensure piracy-free content distribution for broadcasters and online educational video content providers.
