Jonathan Allard has been promoted to the role of COO Asia-Pacific for Draftfcb from his previous post as CFO for the region, a post he has held since July 2011.

A statement from Draftfcb said that due to the size and scope of the Draftfcb Ulka operations in India, the operations here will continue to report directly to Draftfcb headquarters in the USA.

Allard will continue to be based at regional headquarters in Singapore and will report jointly to Laurence Boschetto, worldwide CEO and president of Draftfcb, and Neil Miller, Draftfcb's worldwide CFO.

Previously, Allard was regional finance director and South/Southeast Asia CFO for Aegis Media Asia-Pacific, where he worked for two years. Prior to Aegis, Allard was regional finance director for Draftfcb Asia Pacific and Africa from 2005 to 2009 before returning to Draftfcb in 2011.

"When Jonathan returned to Draftfcb we knew that he would set high standards of professionalism and leadership across the region, and he has delivered,” said Boschetto. “Not only has he built upon the highly efficient financial platforms we have in the region today, he has assumed more operational responsibilities in recent months."

In his newly expanded role, Allard will work more closely with Draftfcb's local office heads to help ensure that its agencies across the region have the necessary infrastructure to deliver consistently brilliant creative ideas that get results, added Boschetto.

Allard assumed regional duties for Asia-Pacific since former regional president Mark Pacchini retired in February. He will continue to manage his CFO responsibilities as part of his newly expanded position.
