Tata Teleservices unveils Docomo's 'doers'

Just one day prior to launching its GSM service Tata Docomo, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) has unveiled its core proposition for the brand: "Inspiring people to do". To take its brand proposition forward, the company has unveiled Femina Miss India World 2009 Pooja Chopra and Krushnaa Patil, who recently climbed Mount Everest successfully, as the faces or 'doers' for Tata Docomo.

Speaking about the development, Abdul Khan, head, Tata Docomo marketing and advisor to MD, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) said, "Tata Docomo is a young and energetic challenger brand. It extols each one of us to believe in our abilities in making our dreams come true. Today, India belongs to the young and the success India is witnessing on the global stage can be attributed to the 'doer' spirit of the young. Pooja Chopra and Krushnaa Patil are living personas of the doer spirit and it is only their unrelenting faith and their zeal to re-create boundaries that has seen them emerge as winners."

While the GSM services will be formally launched today, a multi-pronged media campaign for the brand is slated to go on air tomorrow. Draftfcb+Ulka is the agency that handles the account.
