Sunsilk's website Gang of Girls has been relaunched in keeping with the new campaign of the brand for "Sunsilk Co-Creations". With the intent of popularising the four stylists shown in the advertising - Teddy Charles, Jamal Hammadi, Francesca Fusco and Thomas Taw - the new website offers an "expert studio" online where users can get information about each of them, watch their videos and read their blogs.
Old networking features that allow girls to discuss latest trends have been retained. There is also a new zone called "Hair Astro" which gives hairstyle and fashion tips, and style secrets of a celebrity with the same star sign as the viewer.
The revamping has been done by BC Webwise, a digital advertising agency that has handled the brand's work for seven years. According to Chaya Carvalho, founder and managing director of the agency, "The entire usability and navigational framework of the website has been optimised so that girls can easily find what they are looking for. This includes the nomenclature and lingo used to convey the content in the site." The current membership of 7,50,000 is expected to grow significantly. "There will innovations and new features that will be rolled out during the year, and they will be fun and interactive," added Carvalho.
