Shyam Shanker steps down as President, IMX

Shyam Shanker, president, India Media Exchange has stepped down from his post. This was announced by Jack Klues, chairman, Publicis Groupe Media. India Media Exchange is the media negotiation unit formed last year to leverage the PGM assets of Starcom MediaVest Group and ZenithOptimedia in India.

Shyam Shanker, president, India Media Exchange has stepped down from his post. This was announced by Jack Klues, chairman, Publicis Groupe Media. India Media Exchange is the media negotiation unit formed last year to leverage the PGM assets of Starcom MediaVest Group and ZenithOptimedia in India.

Shanker was with the company since its inception and the company says he is leaving to pursue a new opportunity outside the media industry.  Shanker was reporting to Jack Klues and was closely aligned with Ravi Kiran, CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group’s South and South East Asia region.

According to Klues, a search is underway for a replacement.
