Publicis Mojo appoints Craig Davis as co-chairman and CCO

Publicis Worldwide has appointed Craig Davis as co-chairman and chief creative officer for Publicis Mojo Australia and New Zealand. Davis’ appointment is part of a worldwide challenge led by chief operating officer Richard Pinder to create a top five creative network across all communications within the next three years. Pinder plans to hire five world class creative directors over the next six months. Davis will partner Graeme Wills, chairman Publicis Mojo Group Australia/New Zealand and the appointment is effective immediately.

Prior to this, David was chief creative officer worldwide JWT and former regional executive creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi in Asia. Commenting on the appointment, Pinder said, “Craig is one of the most innovative creative directors in the business. He has the rare ability to combine a passion for ideas with entrepreneurial flair and blue-chip business expertise. An inspirational creative leader, he encourages the best work from his people with a clear record of creative achievement. I’m delighted he is here.” Graeme Wills, chairman, Publicis Mojo Group Australia/New Zealand said, “Publicis Mojo has always attracted world class talent, Craig is acknowledged as one of the best creative leaders in the world. Publicis Mojo’s ambition is to compete with global creative agencies and with Craig at the helm there is no question we shall do so” On his appointment, Davis said, "I decided to move to Australia for family reasons, but my ambition was to live in Australia and work in the world. The role with Mojo is a magic combination of ingredients for me and I'm looking forward to helping the agency build an even stronger creative reputation".
