Nielsen appoints South Asia lead for financial services practice

The Nielsen Company has announced the appointment of Shubhranshu Das as the regional head for its new global financial services practice in South Asia. Das joined Nielsen in 2008 and is based out of Mumbai.

Bruce Paul, vice president, consumer research, The Nielsen Company, who leads the practice globally said, “The newly founded global financial services practice group has experienced tremendous growth in the past few months despite global cuts in spending and the extreme turmoil in the industry. To continue our growth and capitalize on the opportunities in a rapidly reconstituting market we have appointed strong regional leaders to run the show.”

Das has over 20 years experience in marketing, advertising and market research at companies such as Wipro, Siemens Telecom, SRF and Contract Advertising.  He also led the financial services sector in TNS India.

“With the inception of Nielsen’s global financial services practice we will integrate the global best practices and solutions.
