Replaces Mattew Wigham who will move to a new role within GroupM

MediaCom appoints Simon Broderick Apac chief investment officer
MediaCom has announced the appointment of Simon Broderick as chief investment officer for Asia-Pacific.

Broderick will take over Matthew Wigham, who will be transitioning to a new role within GroupM.

Prior to joining MediaCom, Broderick was with Kinetic Worldwide as Apac investment director.

Mark Heap, CEO, MediaCom Apac, said, “This is one of the most important roles in the company and we were lucky to have a high level of interest in the role, from some exceptional candidates. Simon’s deep understanding of the trading practice, his experience across Asia-Pacific markets, his familiarity with GroupM operations and most importantly, his fit with the MediaCom culture, made him the standout choice."

He added, "I would like to thank Matthew for his contribution to our business over the last few years and I’m glad we will still get the opportunity to work together with him in his new GroupM role.”

Broderick said, “I'm delighted to be rejoining MediaCom; a company whose philosophy and culture I firmly believe in. It's a very exciting time for the 'Content + Connections' agency in the Apac region and I look forward to working closely with Mark and the wider team to continue their excellent work over the last couple of years.”

Nick Binns, chief investment officer, GroupM Apac, added, ”This was a rigorous interview process, where we were approached by a very high caliber of multinational trading talent. Ultimately Simon’s determination for the role, Asia trading experience and previous MediaCom trading experience impressed us the most and inevitably made him the right person for the role.”

Broderick’s stint starts 15 February and he will see report to Mark Heap, CEO MediaCom Apac and Binns.
