KV Sridhar joins SapientNitro as first chief creative officer for India

Former Leo Burnett CCO will lead creative work from India, alongside SapientNitro APAC ECD Andy Greenaway

KV Sridhar joins SapientNitro as first chief creative officer for India

Former Leo Burnett chief creative officer for the Indian sub-continent KV Sridhar, has joined SapientNitro as chief creative officer for India. He will work alongside Andy Greenaway, executive creative director, APAC, SapientNitro, who is based in Singapore.

Sridhar left Leo Burnett after a stint of 17 years on 4 May 2014. He confirmed his move to SapientNitro to Campaign India.

On his move to a ‘digital agency’, he said, “It’s not just about a ‘digital agency'; it’s a space where technology and creativity come together and that is the future (if not the present). I have been on a journey to reinvent myself and have been lucky enough with this opportunity. I was not even looking at traditional (ad) agencies and was more inclined towards new age agencies.”

Sridhar has spent three decades in advertising. On joining Sapient, he added, “I have always been a fan of Sapient for their campaigns like ‘Best job in the world’ (Australia). They are leading the change everywhere in the world, including in the US. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work on work in India for the region and elsewhere.”

Based in Mumbai, Sridhar will work with Rajdeep Endow, MD, Sapient India. Sridhar will also be part of the comany’s global executive creative team.

In a prepared statement, Endow said, “I am delighted and honored to welcome a gifted creative leader of Pops’ (KV Sridhar) caliber to our leadership team. Pops’ creative excellence and his deep expertise in the Indian market will be instrumental to our ability to serve clients in the region for our unique blend of connected capabilities across brand, digital, experience design and technology.” 

Sapient has around 4,500 people in India handling work for the sub-continent and handling global work.
