"Economic gloom will not lift until 2010:"Sorrell
Sir Martin Sorrell last night warned that the crisis engulfing the world's financial markets will make the economic prospects for an already tough 2009 even bleaker. And he predicted that it would be 2010 before the gloom begins to lift.Speaking at an industry charity event in UK, the WPP chief executive said of his visit to New York last week: "The smell of fear is incredible. People are terrified." Sorrell - one of the world's most respected economic forecasters - said the upshot would be greater caution by client companies over the next year.
