Cannes Lions 2021: 21 shortlists for India on day three
The organisers of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity announced shortlists across eight categories on day three of the virtual festival.
 
Indian agencies amassed 21 shortlists. With shortlists across all categories now announced, India's total count for this year's festival is 77.
 
Brand Experience and Activation Lions
 
Dentsu Webchutney has three shortlists in this category. Two are for Swiggy's 'The Better Half Recipes' while the other is for Vice Media's 'The 8-bit Journo'.
 
FCB Interface (Mumbai Police - The Punishing Signal), Famous Innovations (Radio Zindagi - The Applegram), Lowe Lintas (Wheel - Careers from Home), Wunderman Thompson (The Times of India - Make Your Own Mask) and VMLY&R (Heinz ABC - Pedasuransi) are also in the running for a Lion.
 
Creative Business Transformation Lions
 
No Indian shortlist.
 
Creative E-commerce Lions
 
Dentsu Webchutney has India's only shortlist in this category. The shortlist comes for Swiggy's 'The Better Half Recipes'.
 
Creative Effectiveness Lions 
 
No Indian shortlist.
 
Film Lions
 
Indian agencies have earned four shortlists in this category.
 
Grey India (Gillette - Shaving Stereotypes), McCann (WWF - Freedom), Ogilvy (ITC - The Artist) and Taproot Dentsu (Facebook - Pooja Didi) are in the running for a Lion. 
 
Mobile Lions
 
Dentsu Webchutney has three of the four shortlists Indian agencies bagged in this category. They come for Vice Media's 'The 8-bit Journo'.
 
Cheil's 'Now, Words Aren't Just Heard, But Felt' for Samsung has also earned a shortlist.
 
Radio and Audio Lions 
 
No Indian shortlist.
 
Sustainable Development Goals Lions
 
FCB Ulka's got two shortlists in this category. One is for 'The Selfless Selfie' for Shaki while the other is for 'Out and Proud Classifieds' for The Times of India. 
 
Cheil's 'Now, Words Aren't Just Heard, But Felt' for Samsung is also in contention, as is Leo Burnett's '#KeepGirlsInSchool' for Whisper Mobileshaala.
