M&C Saatchi began the year on a good note, bagging the creative duties of Warner Bros’  English movie channel. In May, it expanded its bouquet of offerings by formally launched its Direct and Digital Communications unit M&C Saatchi-i with offices in Mumbai and Delhi. Led by Sumantra Sengupta, the team also included Rakshin Patel and Sumanto Ganguly. More new business came its way in May, when the agency won the Zicom Electronic Security Systems without a pitch. Lexi Pens followed soon after, awarding its creative duties to the agency. In September though, the agency’s executive director Rajiv Sabnis quit to join DDB Mudra. Sabnis was replaced by Suranjan Das who came in from Fortune Communications to head the agency’s Mumbai office. Overall, only small and mid-size wins in the year and no distinctive creative work,
