BBDO India appoints Sangeet Pillai as planning director

BBDO India has appointed Sangeet Pillai as planning director.  In his new role, Pillai will be based in Mumbai.   Pillai comes from BBDO New York where he was the senior vice-president/senior account planner for the past three and a half years.

BBDO India has appointed Sangeet Pillai as planning director.  In his new role, Pillai will be based in Mumbai.   Pillai comes from BBDO New York where he was the senior vice-president/senior account planner for the past three and a half years. 


In New York, Pillai held a global planning role on Procter & Gamble’s Gillette brand and was also a lead planner on the AT&T/Cingular Wireless account.  Before BBDO, Pillai spent eight years with the Leo Burnett in Chicago and Singapore where he led the planning and strategy development for clients like Disney Corporation, Coca-Cola Asia-Pacific, Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore Telecom and Heidelberg.

He has a deep understanding of the network, solid global planning skills and is highly experienced in leading developing markets. Sangeet will lead the global planning for emerging markets on Procter & Gamble’s Gillette brand while managing the planning for other projects in Mumbai”.
