Albert Almeida has joined Hungama Digital Media as chief operating officer for their mobile business.

In his new role, he will be responsible for Hungama’s domestic and international mobile business covering entertainment, platforms and applications businesses.
 
Albert's last assignment was as executive vice president and business head of Sony Entertainment Television (SET). Prior to that Albert spent 14 years in advertising, working with JWT in Mumbai and New York.
 
Commenting on his appointment, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, chairman, board of directors, Hungama Digital Media said, "Mobile entertainment is at an inflection point, with more people across the world consuming entertainment content digitally. With Albert’s vast and diverse experience in the entertainment and marketing spheres, he would be an asset to Hungama and its partners across the world."
 
Albert will be working closely with Neeraj Roy, MD and CEO, Hungama Digital Media. Roy said, "Albert comes with extensive experience integral to the convergence opportunity that lies ahead for our company. A thorough professional, Albert joins Hungama at a time when our telecom partners across the world are looking at enhanced revenues through media, entertainment, marketing. We will all benefit from his rich experience in leading South Asia’s largest digital media company."
 
Upon his appointment, Albert Almeida said, "My years in advertising and television have given me the opportunity and experience in understanding consumers, brands, businesses and developing, acquiring and marketing content.
